1. Charging Port Indicator Does Not Illuminate
Likely Cause: The AC charging connector is not securely connected to the inlet.
Correction: Check that you have inserted the AC charging connector completely. Ensure you do not press the latch release button during insertion, as this may prevent a proper connection. After plugging in, verify that the latch release button is released and that the charging indicator on the port lights up. If the indicator still remains off even with a secure connection, there might be a system malfunction. In such situations, stop charging immediately and contact your dealer.
2. Battery Fully Charged or Upper Limit Exceeded
Likely Cause: Charging will not start if the traction battery is already fully charged or if its remaining charge exceeds the set upper limit of the charge capacity.
Correction: If the battery is at full capacity, no charging action will be taken. Otherwise, adjust the upper limit setting so that it is higher than the current remaining battery charge, then try the charging procedure again.
3. AC Charger Not Operating
Likely Cause: The AC charger itself might be malfunctioning or there may be an issue with the outlet.
Correction: Verify that your power outlet is functioning properly. If a building breaker has tripped or power is not being supplied, reset the breaker or test another outlet. If no alternative outlet is available or the problem persists, contact the facility manager to investigate further.
4. Charging Indicator Flashing (AC)
Situation A – Normal Flashing: The indicator may flash when a charging schedule is registered.
Correction: Wait until the scheduled start time for charging. If immediate charging is desired, activate the "Charge Now" function to override the schedule.
Situation B – Rapid Flashing: Rapid flashing is a sign of a possible malfunction either in the external power source or within the vehicle’s system.
Correction: A message is typically displayed on the multi-information screen when such an error occurs (for example, after a door is opened while the power switch is off). Follow the on-screen instructions carefully, and if the problem persists, stop charging immediately and call your dealer.
