Immobilizer System

The vehicle's keys contain built-in transponder chips that prevent the EV system from starting unless the key has been registered in the onboard computer. This security feature helps reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

For added protection, always take the keys with you when leaving the vehicle, as leaving them inside may compromise security.

While the system significantly enhances theft prevention, it does not provide absolute security against all theft attempts.

Operating the System

• When the power switch is turned off, the indicator light flashes, signaling that the system is active.
• When the power switch is set to ACC or ON, the indicator light turns off, indicating that the immobilizer system has been deactivated.

This theft deterrent system is integrated to offer reliable security measures, ensuring protection while maintaining ease of use.

Alarm Activation Scenarios

• A locked door or back door is opened in any way other than using the entry function or wireless remote control. The doors will automatically relock.
• The hood is opened unexpectedly.

Setting, Deactivating, and Stopping the Alarm System

Precautions Before Locking the Vehicle

• Ensure nobody remains inside the vehicle.
• Close all windows before activating the alarm system.
• Remove valuables and personal items to prevent theft risks.

Setting

Close the doors, back door and hood, and lock all doors. The system will be set automatically after 30 seconds.

The indicator light changes from being on to flashing when the system is set.

Deactivating or Stopping the Alarm

The alarm system is designed to provide security by alerting the driver to unauthorized entry. If the alarm is triggered, it can be deactivated or stopped using the following methods:

• Unlock the doors using the key fob, manual key, or door handle sensors.
• Turn the power switch to ACC or ON, or start the EV system. The alarm will deactivate a few seconds after ignition.

These simple actions restore normal vehicle operation, allowing uninterrupted use of the security system.

Setting the Alarm

The alarm activates automatically when all doors are securely closed. Notably, it can still be set even if the hood remains open, ensuring a comprehensive theft deterrent.

Triggering of the alarm

• A person inside the vehicle opens a door, the back door or hood, or unlocks the vehicle.

• The 12-volt battery is recharged or replaced when the vehicle is locked.

Alarm-Operated Door Lock

The alarm system is designed to enhance security by preventing unauthorized access. In certain situations, the doors may automatically lock to restrict entry:

• When a person inside the vehicle unlocks the door while the alarm is active.
• While the alarm is sounding, an occupant unlocks the door.
• When recharging or replacing the 12-volt battery.

This function helps ensure that unauthorized access is minimized, maintaining the vehicle's security.

NOTICE

To ensure proper system operation, modifications or removal should be avoided.

Altering the system may lead to unpredictable behavior and reduced security effectiveness.

Pre-Alarm

If a door is unlocked using the mechanical key while the alarm is engaged, a pre-alarm will sound for 10 seconds.

• If the door is locked again or the pre-alarm is stopped within 10 seconds, the full alarm will activate.
• To deactivate or stop the pre-alarm, follow one of these methods:
  • Close all doors and lock the vehicle using the entry function or remote control.
  • Turn the power switch to ACC or ON, or start the EV system. The alarm will deactivate after a few seconds.

This system provides an added layer of protection against unauthorized vehicle access while allowing for controlled deactivation when necessary.
