Switching Between Fresh Outside Air and Recirculated Air Modes

To select whether the climate control system draws in fresh air from outside the vehicle or recirculates the air already inside the cabin, press the dedicated outside/recirculated air mode switch.

Each press of this switch will toggle between the outside air mode (indicated by the absence of an illuminated indicator light) and the recirculated air mode (indicated by the indicator light being on). Recirculated air mode is useful for quickly cooling the interior or blocking outside odors.

Activating the Cooling and Dehumidification Function

To engage the air conditioning system for cooling and dehumidification in your 2025 Toyota bZ4X, press the "A/C" switch located on the climate control panel.

You might hear a sound originating from the air conditioning system in your 2025 Toyota bZ4X approximately 90 seconds after the power switch is turned to the OFF position. This is a normal sound associated with the air conditioning system initializing or performing a self-check and does not indicate any malfunction or issue.

WARNING - Important Safety Precautions Regarding the Climate Control System

To Prevent Windshield Fogging:

To Prevent Burns:

• In vehicles equipped with a windshield wiper de-icer system, do not touch the glass in the lower portion of the windshield or to the side of the front pillars when the wiper de-icer is active, as these areas will heat up to melt ice.

To Prevent 12-Volt Battery Discharge:

To conserve battery power and prevent the 12-volt battery in your 2025 Toyota bZ4X from becoming depleted, avoid leaving the air conditioning system running for longer than necessary when the main EV system is turned off.

Repairing or Replacing Air Conditioning System Components:

For any repairs or replacements needed for the air conditioning system in your Toyota bZ4X, it is recommended to have the work performed by an authorized Toyota dealer. This ensures that qualified technicians handle the system and that genuine, new parts are used when replacements are necessary, such as with the evaporator.

Using the Automatic Climate Control Mode

1. To activate the automatic climate control system in your 2025 Toyota bZ4X, press the "ALL AUTO (ECO)" switch located on the climate control panel.

Once activated, the dehumidification function will begin to operate automatically. The system will also intelligently adjust the airflow from the air outlets and the fan speed based on the temperature you have set and the current humidity levels inside the cabin.

2. Adjust the desired temperature setting using the temperature control switch. The automatic system will then work to achieve and maintain this temperature.

However, the automatic regulation of other functions within the climate control system will continue to operate as programmed.

When the automatic mode of the climate control system is active in your 2025 Toyota bZ4X, the fan speed will be adjusted automatically by the system. WARNING

To not interrupt the windshield defogger from operating

Do not place anything on the instrument panel which may cover the air outlets. Otherwise, air flow may be obstructed, preventing the windshield defoggers from defogging.

Front seat concentrated airflow mode (S-FLOW)

This function automatically controls the air conditioning airflow so that priority is given to the front seats. Unnecessary air conditioning is suppressed, contributing to increased electricity consumption efficiency.

Front seat concentrated airflow mode operates in the following situations.

• No passengers are detected in the rear seats
• The windshield defogger is not operating

While operating,  illuminates.

Manually turning front seat concentrated airflow mode on/off

In front seat concentrated airflow mode, directing airflow to the front seats only and to all seats can be switched via switch operation. When the mode has been switched manually, automatic airflow control stops operating.

Press on the air conditioning operation panel and switch the airflow.

• Indicator illuminated: Airflow to the front seats only
• Indicator off: Airflow to all the seats

Operation of automatic airflow control

• In order to maintain a comfortable interior, airflow may be directed to seats without passengers immediately after the EV system is started and at other times depending on the outside temperature.
• After the EV system is started, if passengers move around inside or enter/exit the vehicle, the system cannot accurately detect the presence of passengers and automatic airflow control will not operate.

Operation of manual airflow control

Even if the function is manually switched to directing airflow to only the front seats, when a rear seat is occupied, it may automatically direct airflow to all seats.

To return to automatic airflow control

1. With the indicator off, turn the power switch off.
2. After 60 minutes or more elapse, turn the power switch to ON.
