Automatic Operation of Personal and Interior Lights

• Illuminated Entry System: The interior lights of your 2025 Toyota bZ4X are equipped with an illuminated entry system. This convenient feature automatically turns the lights on or off based on several factors, including the power switch mode (whether the vehicle is on or off), the proximity of your electronic key, whether the doors are locked or unlocked, and the act of opening or closing the doors.
• For added energy efficiency, if any of the interior lights in your Toyota bZ4X are inadvertently left on after the power switch is turned off, they will automatically turn off after a period of approximately 20 minutes to help prevent the 12-volt battery from being discharged.

Automatic Activation of Interior Lights in Emergency Situations

In the event of an accident where any of the SRS airbags in your 2025 Toyota bZ4X are deployed (inflated), or if the vehicle experiences a significant rear impact, the interior lights will automatically turn on. These lights are designed to illuminate the cabin to aid occupants and first responders. The interior lights will automatically turn off after approximately 20 minutes in such situations.

While the interior lights will activate automatically, you also have the option to turn them off manually using the light controls. However, for safety reasons, particularly after an accident, it is generally recommended to leave the interior lights on until the safety of the situation can be fully assessed and ensured for all occupants.

Customization of Interior Lighting Settings

Your 2025 Toyota bZ4X allows for some customization of the interior lighting system. Settings such as the duration before the lights automatically turn off when left on can often be adjusted through the vehicle's settings menu on the multimedia display.

NOTICE - Preventing 12-Volt Battery Discharge

To avoid unnecessary drain on your vehicle's 12-volt battery, please remember to turn off the interior lights if they are not needed, especially when the main EV system is turned off and the vehicle is not running. Leaving lights on for extended periods can deplete the battery.
