Important Child Restraint System Precautions
Ensuring proper installation and usage of child restraint systems is crucial for passenger safety in your Toyota bZ4X. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in severe injury or fatal consequences.
- When using the LATCH anchors, ensure there are no foreign objects around the anchor points and that the seat belt is not trapped behind the child restraint system.
- Always follow the installation instructions provided by the child restraint system manufacturer to guarantee secure attachment.
- Child restraint systems cannot be installed in the rear center seat. Do not attempt to use LATCH anchors for child seat installation in this position.
- Some types of child restraint systems may affect the proper use of adjacent seat belts in rear seating positions. If your seat belt does not fit securely across your shoulder and hips due to a nearby child restraint, adjust your seating position accordingly to maintain protection.
- After adjusting the seat, always recheck the security of the child restraint system to confirm proper positioning and attachment.
By following these precautions, you can enhance the effectiveness of child restraint systems and create a safer environment for young passengers in your Toyota bZ4X.
